What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Transparent device that can evolve certain Pokemon species. It was developed by Silph Co.

The item upgrader adds a new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager is a cost of 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosters

With an upgrader for items you can enjoy numerous bonuses. These can include a variety of stats, in addition to many additional bonuses. These bonuses can be used on armor, weapons and trinkets. They can be used to boost the abilities of a character or add a new element of variety to their appearance.

Some of these boosts can only be used in specific designs (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs) Some are beneficial to collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boo that is less useful when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which gives additional slots for potion. They are usually upgraded to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades are accompanied by some associated costs. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. It can be costly and is dependent on the new ilvl of the item upgrading and the number perks it gains. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of the items needed to upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and up) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrades to an item upgrade are complicated and takes time. It can take up to 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated by using the item's new ilvl bonus, perks, as well as other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important stats. In some instances an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are offered on a list.

In rare cases the upgrade will replace only the highest-costing bonuses. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer however it is more solid. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is used three times.

It is also possible to add a variety of additional items to the upgrade, increasing its chances of success. These materials are displayed in a window above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the maximum amount of material that can be added is displayed right above the + button in the user interface.

A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version can be used to increase the likelihood of a successful upgrade. This item is helpful when you own an item of gear that has reached the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next level without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful the upgrade will be reversed to its previous state. This is usually a break, but can also be a downgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you reach the maximum level of an item.

There are many items in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the chances of a successful upgrade. You can boost your chances of success by upgrading equipment repeatedly using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The chance of success will be increased if you can increase your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.

Failure Rate

The item upgrader allows players to add an extra slot to their equipment. These slots can be used to upgrade an item upgrader kit or apply an enchantment.
