GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor mobility power scooters as well as low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate a variety of bodies and Greenpower mobility upfits for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and mobility power a lower center of gravity, which results in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery and catering. The refrigerated trucks of class 4 with a single wall structure inside, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity and a payload that is industry-leading to range for zero-emission freight or passenger transport.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to seamlessly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging of 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours and found it easy to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, and the EV9 does a great job of suppressing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The acceleration is extremely fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be recharged in just three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA compliant. This means they will be eligible for federal assistance in transit.
