Its navigation capabilities are pretty robust, however it does sometimes get hung up on the tiny area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual border in the application). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent, with a pair spinning mop pads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled at the top of the station as they are required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.

Its mops also impress, with a 2700Pa power to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any issues with high-pile carpets or area rug, but it was unable to clean up kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
