It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down stairs in a single move. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or carpets.

Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.

Mopping capabilities are very good with a pair of spinning mops which are able to lift and scrub floors instead of moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops can also be refilled at the top of the station as required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the best robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other dirt. It also features a smart application that lets you choose the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
