What is Evolution?

They argue that evolution is impossible, because it would require miracles. The founders of modern science shunned miracles because they feared they could lose their credibility.

Some creationists are able to accept naturalistic evolution as well as special creation, and refer to their belief "theistic evolution." This is also referred to as "continuous evolutionism" or the "evolution of species created." This theory states that God creates the original species and then allows them to evolve over time. These evolution changes will eventually result in new species that are similar to the original.

Some creationists believe that God created all living things and the universe in one event called the Great Flood. They believe that the original species were all created at the same time and that they grew gradually afterward. In general, creationists oppose the teaching of evolution at schools.
