World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be inserted. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or item upgrader even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrader method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrader to put Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items lets players increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This could be a problem, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state which means that the player has to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, item upgrader and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item upgrader that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For instance they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to bring each piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
