While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic hoovers cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best auto vacuum choice is probably hybrid. This kind of robot usually has a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do everything.

If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less.
