The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.

Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic vacuum cleaner comparison than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base automatic vacuum cleaners Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums robot can really fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb and has very few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or change the labels of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price price.

If you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other great choices on the market with a wide range of eufy models for substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile and even high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move however.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The main feature that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and robot vacuum deals comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
